Visit the Alkmaar cheese market and discover Holland's cheese city. The cheese market in Alkmaar is every Friday morning from March 31 to September 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition, an evening cheese market is organized again: every Tuesday evening in July and August from 19:00-21:00.

The Hortus Bulborum in Limmen is the only garden in the world with an enormous collection of historic spring bulbs. More than 4500 different varieties of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses and Fritillarias show their beautiful colors in the spring.

Observation tower Papenberg
Do you want to see Castricum from a great height? Then come and see it from the watchtower near the Papenberg. There's plenty to see when you're on top! First climb the stairs with 149 steps and you are already at a good height.
