Mountain biking
Together with our experienced guide you ride directly from the campsite through the area where dunes alternate with forests and beautiful water plains. Short climbs, curves, tree roots, singletracks, dune ponds, loose sand and singing birds.
During this 'dune safari' you also have the chance to encounter Scottish Highlanders, Koniks horses, Exmoor ponies, goats and sheep. Our very own Big Five!
Never cycled off-road before? No worries, the guide will help you on your way with some handy technique tips where necessary.
After about two hours we finish at Knoest where there is an opportunity to discuss the trip over a drink.
All levels are welcome. We start and finish in one group.
Facts about the guide
After finishing CIOS, Martijn became self-employed in outdoor sports. He has been organizing activities for groups since 1995. A lot of experience and it is still fun every day!
After years of being active in the Belgian Ardennes it is now time to settle permanently in the Netherlands (Heiloo).
His greatest passion is cycling, especially beach cycling. In the winter he takes part in almost all races and in the summer he tries to take part in as many gravel races as possible. Besides the races he also gives bike training on the beach and in the dunes.
Martijn looks forward to taking you on an adventurous mountain bike ride.
Good to know
Start mountain bike tours: Monday, 2nd Pentecost.
After that, every Saturday morning the chance to join the adventure. There will also be a tour on Ascension Day on May 18.
Handy to know.
Dune pass required! When staying at the campsite you already have a dune pass.
Gather at 8:30 am at the reception, back around 10:30 am.
Maximum 15 persons. Note: age from 14 years.
Price mountain bike tour €27.50 p.p. This excursion price includes the rental of a mountain bike and helmet.
