Visitor Centre de Hoep

Visitor Centre de Hoep is an excellent start for any expedition into the North Holland Dune Reserve.

You can find lots of tips and advice for a lovely walk or bicycle ride through the dunes, so you needn't miss any special spots like the bird watching hide and the so-called water bubble or jellyfish. The visitor centre itself has a lot to offer too, such as the butterfly garden, the bird watching wall and lots of information about how to create clean drinking water.

There are weekly excursions for all ages. Children may search for gnomes, learn about Native Americans or become an assistant ranger. Adults can accompany the ranger, or volunteer on a Dune Work Day, and help keep the dunes clean.

From Camping Geversduin the Visitor Centre is easily reached by bicycle. Those travelling by car will find a large car park next to the visitor centre.

Johanneshof caters for any appetite you may have worked up during your walk. From coffee and cake to a lovely lunch or dinner. There is a small playground, and a children's farm too.
